Goals and Mission:

 

   ZCHRTM aim to link modern scientific knowledge of phytomedicine together with Mainstream Medicine and to promote Safety, Efficacy and Quality of Traditional Medicines used in patient care in UAE.

    Collect, analyze and integrate domestic heritage and information on Herbal Medicine and related Complementary Therapies in UAE, in order to set up research projects and plan for subsequent development of this field.

    Comiling a UAE Herbal Pharmacopoeia of local medicinal plants.

    Screening activities of herbal extracts or local medicinal plants from locally recognized formulae and formulating herbal products, exploiting the local medicinal flora as a national resource and developing future local medicinal herbs manufacture.

    Developing screening procedures for Quality Control of imported finished Herbal Products and Herbs to assure their suitability and high quality.

    Creating links and cooperation programmes with international manufacturers and scientific organizations to run clinical trials on products developed in our Center.

    Establishing the Center as an International Center of Excellence for Herbal Research and Traditional Medicine.
